A Shortcut to Aktse/Rapadalen/Sarek
(If you want to reach the Sarek from the south via Aktse, you can save the hiking distance between Kvikkjokk and Aktse, which is about two days. It may sound complicated, but it should be easy. Anyway, one can surely get up-to-date information from the busdriver in Jokkmokk).

If you come by car from Jokkmokk:

Drive towards Kvikkjokk about 74 km. Turn right towards Seitevare and park the car at the bridge of the river Sito (about 20 km). Walk 10 km on the path to lake Laitaure. From this point boats leave for Aktse and Sarek according to timetable and agreement on the spot.

If you come by bus:

Catch the bus from Jokkmokk towards Kvikkjokk. Get off the bus in Tjåmotis at the postoffice where you will be picked up by a car driven to the bridge of the river Sito. Walk 10 km to lake Laitaure. From this point boats leave for Aktse and Sarek according to timetable and agreement on the spot.
